DOP Marketing & Events Internship - Spring 2024
The Downtown Orlando Partnership is seeking a Marketing & Events Intern to join its team for the Spring 2024 Semester. As a communications intern at the DOP, you would assist the Marketing & Experience Specialist in the following duties:
- Strategizing, planning, and implementing social media marketing campaigns.
- Lead content creation process such as photo, video, and graphics content to be hosted on our various social media channels.
- Facilitate daily, real-time engagement with our social communities. Engaging with relevant brand mentions/tags from our members and community when necessary.
- Perform social media market research.
- Assist in the coordination and planning of DOP events.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in Social Media Management (preferred).
- Is passionate about staying connected to Downtown Orlando news and happenings.
- Assist in gathering content for weekly newsletter
- Must be a self-starter with an eagerness to learn and contribute to a nonprofit organization.
- Has the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong written communication skills with a keen sense for grammar and spelling. *MUST Include writing sample in your application.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other marketing programs such as CANVA and Adobe Photoshop, Mailchimp, Later, and Zoom (preferred).
- Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Must be a minimum college junior or senior, pursuing a degree in Marketing or Communications is a plus but not required.
- Must be available to work in-person on site for a minimum of 5 hours per week over a period of 10-12 weeks.
