2024 Downtowner of the Year (DOTY) Application

The Downtowner of the Year (DOTY) award celebrates individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions toward creating a unique, vibrant and diverse downtown environment. Each year, an awards jury representing a cross-section of downtown Orlando selects the Downtowner of the Year – honoring leadership, innovation, hard work, talent, and community spirit.

Nominate a person or organization that has shown a long-time exemplary commitment to downtown Orlando and has positively impacted the community and inspired others.

APPLICATIONS WILL CLOSE ON FRIDAY, APRIL 4, 2025 AT 11:59PM.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

The nominee is someone who has made a tangible and lasting impact on the downtown Orlando community through their hard work, dedication, and leadership. Some common factors that may be considered are:

1. Contribution to the Community: The nominee has made significant contributions to the development and well-being of the downtown community. This includes activities such as volunteering, organizing events, fundraising, or advocating for community issues.

2. Leadership and Innovation: The nominee has demonstrated leadership and innovation in their efforts to improve the downtown area. This includes introducing new ideas or programs or taking an innovative approach to addressing community challenges.

3. Economic Impact: The nominee has shown extraordinary success in business projects or initiatives, which has created positive, sustainable change in downtown Orlando.
